Introducing Sky Learning Explorer

Sky Learning Explorer can help you find a broad range of TV programmes from across hundreds of channels which complement subjects from the GCSE and A Level curricula. You can search by the subject you’re studying, and we’ll tell you all the TV programmes showing on Sky over the next 7 days that are relevant to your chosen subject. We have exclusive video clips and articles from TV programmes on channels like Sky Arts, Sky One and The Discovery Channel to inspire leaning for everyone.

We’ve also launched an ‘Interests & Passions’ section to bring your studies to life. You’ll find taster courses from The Open University and ‘Interests’ resources focusing on the Arts, History, Literature, Homes and Language courses. We want to give everyone the opportunity to learn and let you watch interesting programmes at a time that suits you. Look out for more ‘Interests’ coming later in the year.

How does it work?

Sky Learning recommends TV programmes relevant to courses you are studying or subjects from a list of interest and passions that you provide. There are two search options which provide recommendations relating to your subject areas.

Subject Menu

You can browse types of content, instructions on using the Explorer, GCSE and A Level subjects, Interests and Passions and other information using the menu on the left-hand side of the page (pictured).

Subject Search

To filter the lists of programmes and find content that’s exactly suited to the course you’re studying, using the drop-down Subject Search menu on the right-hand side of the page (pictured).
