Audio Described Listings

We want all our customers to enjoy the fantastic programming that Sky has to offer, and to help our blind and partially sighted customers make the most of Sky we provide audio description on 20% of our channels. Audio Description is not available on Sky Sports or Sky News due to the frequent use of spoken word in these channels' broadcasts.

Audio description explains what is happening between gaps in the dialogue. The Audio description and natural sound is delivered as a mixed audio so you just hear one soundtrack while you're watching Sky TV.

Activating Audio Description

1. Press services on your Sky remote control.
2. Highlight System Setup using the up/down arrows and press select.
3. Highlight Language and Subtitles using the up/down arrowsand press select.
4. Highlight Audio Description using the up/down arrows and change the setting to On using the left/right arrows.
5. Highlight Highlighted Programmes and change setting to Audio Des.
6. Highlight Save New Settings and press select.
7. Press sky to return to normal viewing.
