Sky Talk is exclusively available to Sky TV customers.
If you currently get your TV, broadband or phone through cable, but don't have an active BT line, it's still easy to switch to Sky TV, Sky Broadband and Sky Talk. If you would like Sky Broadband as well as Sky Talk, make sure Sky Broadband is available in your area with our postcode checker and then follow the simple steps below:
1. First book and install Sky TV and Sky Talk
As Sky Talk is exclusively available to Sky TV customers you will need to choose a TV package before ordering Sky Talk.
2. Cancel your cable TV
Once your Sky TV is installed and, if you have a cable TV contract, simply ask your provider to cancel your TV contract – there’s usually a 30 day notice period once you're outside a minimum term.
3. Organise a BT phone line
Call BT on 0800 800 150 to get a phone line installed, or order online at www.bt.com/newline. If you need to order a new line or reactivate an existing one ask for BT’s Weekend Plan Option 1.
4. Call us to order Sky Talk
Once your phone line’s been activated, you’ll need to wait five working days before calling us on 08442 410 583. We’ll help you choose the right Talk product and, if you would also like Sky Broadband, we’ll send you our 'Get Started' kit to help you get online. It will take Sky 14 days to set everything up for you.
5. Cancel your cable phone and/or broadband contract
To ensure that you have no interruption to your phone and/or broadband service we recommend that you do this step last. You will receive billing from both Sky and your cable company from the date your Sky Talk and/or Sky Broadband goes live to the end of your cable notice period. You can download our cable cancellation letters to get you started. If you are with another cable company, please follow the same steps as above.
